New cars typically come with a full manufacturer warranty for 5 years. This manufacturer warranty covers main car parts; claims and fixes can be done at the manufacturer’s workshop.
The mVIP warranty is specially created for used cars. It has a similar concept to the manufacturer warranty, but for used cars. It is an optional add-on for our Buyers. mVIP cars that are eligible for warranty protection will be indicated on the respective ad listings.
Why do I need a warranty?
It’s for your peace of mind. When vehicle issues arise that car buyers either didn’t catch before purchasing a car or were not aware of, they can now claim for the necessary fixes (provided the car part is listed and covered under the warranty).
How can I make a claim?
Claims and fixes can be done at the warranty provider’s panel workshop.
How much is the warranty?
The price varies for every customer, depending on the car brand and model. Both underwriters have a standard categorical policy price list based on the car brand and model. As such, a personalized quotation will be shared upon request.
When can I purchase the warranty?
You can purchase the add-on warranty when the sale is completed and the ownership of the car has been transferred. Extended warranty purchase is only applicable to cars that have been inspected by MUV and are eligible for warranty (refer to labels indicated in the ad as shown below).
