Dear users, kindly be informed that SafeDeal will be discontinued from our platform in stages, effective 11 September 2025.
For sellers, you will no longer be able to create SafeDeal ads effective 11 September 2025. Any existing ads with SafeDeal will still be available until they expire automatically. If you choose to renew your ad, it will be renewed as a normal ad and not a SafeDeal ad.
For buyers, the SafeDeal option will be removed effective 11 December 2025, and you will no longer be able to purchase items via SafeDeal on our platform.
During this transition, any transactions made through SafeDeal will still be honoured, and the money in SafeDeal will be released to the respective parties as usual.
Thank you for supporting SafeDeal. We look forward to sharing new features with you soon.
How can I list an item with SafeDeal enabled?
For now, you can only enable SafeDeal when you insert a new ad. This new feature is available only for private sellers in the electronics category. Hence, only selected sellers listing their mobile phones, gadgets, computers, and their accessories will have access to the SafeDeal feature.
Is SafeDeal free for me?
Yes. Seller list for free. Buyers are charged a 4% fee on top of the agreed price.
What are the benefits for Sellers that enable SafeDeal?
Meet-up? Delivery? You Decide.
Choose the delivery method that is most convenient for you. With SafeDeal, you can finally deal with buyers from anywhere within Malaysia. You can secure your payment first before you deliver the goods. Note: Shipping cost is not covered by the SafeDeal feature; this is an additional cost that is borne by the buyer you agree with the buyer to include in the item price.
How do I sell with SafeDeal?
For now, SafeDeal is only available for private sellers in the electronics category. This includes listing mobile phones, gadgets, computers, and accessories.
When you insert your ad, you can enable SafeDeal for free during the ad insertion process:
What happens if the buyer pays a price that was not agreed with you (as the seller)?
If the buyer pays a different price that is not agreed upon, you can decline the offer by rejecting the deal. In this case, we will refund the paid amount to the buyer (SafeDeal fees are non-refundable).
Do remember to include any additional shipping costs in the final price.
Where do I update my bank account details to receive the money?
Once you (the seller) have marked the item as delivered for your first SafeDeal transaction, you will see a message requesting you to enter your bank account details through our partner Trustap.
Once you click on the message, and if this is your first time selling with SafeDeal, you will be directed to our official transaction partner’s website (Trustap) to create an account and provide your bank account details. You only need to do this once, and you do not have to repeat this step for all your future transactions. The money will be sent to you after the 7-day Complaint Period ends. The fund will take up to 10 working days to reach your account, depending on your bank.
